South Jakarta District Court Has Not Received Application Letter To Revoke Pretrial Lawsuit Firli Bahuri, Trial Still Held January 30

Former KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri withdrew his pretrial lawsuit regarding his determination as a suspect in the alleged extortion or gratification case against the former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo. However, the South Jakarta District Court stated that it had not received the application letter.

"That the pretrial judge who examined the pretrial case has not received the letter of application for the revocation," said Acting Public Relations of the South Jakarta District Court, Djuyamto in his statement, Friday, January 26.

Therefore, the single judge who handles the case will continue to hold the first trial according to schedule on January 30.

However, continued Djuyamto, if later the application letter is received in the next few days, the judge will read out the request for revocation at trial.

"If it is true that there is a letter of application for revocation of pretrial and has been received by the pretrial judge, then the letter of application will be read out by the judge in front of the trial," said Djuyamto.

As previously reported, Firli Bahuri withdrew the pretrial lawsuit at the South Jakarta District Court today.

The reason behind the withdrawal of the pretrial lawsuit was due to the substantial consideration of the application material.

In addition, said Fahri, his party also considers several important materials and technical strategies that need to be re-elaborated.

"We elaborate further, by taking into account existing legal principles, we will enrich pretrial materials so that they are more elementary," said Firli Bahuri's attorney, Fahri Bachmid.

"So that it becomes in accordance with the needs and legal interests of our client's pretrial application, Mr. Firli Bahuri," he continued.
