Ganjar Calls Young People More So When It's Just A Matter Of Planting Corn And Cassava

Presidential candidate number 3, Ganjar Pranowo said young people are better off if they only grow corn and cassava.

This was conveyed by Ganjar in his political oration in a grand campaign entitled 'People's Worship' which was held at the Golo Dukal Stadium, Langke Rembong, Manggarai Regency, NTT, Friday, January 26.

"The issue of agriculture is the life and death of the nation. And these children are great agricultural champions. Give opportunities to young people, love to farmers," said Ganjar, quoted by Antara.

He assessed that the younger generation had many ideas to develop agricultural products for the Indonesian people.

Moreover, continued Ganjar, many young people have fallen into the agricultural industry today.

"If they only planted cassava with corn, they were better off, they could, and God willing, it would not fail. Because they are experts and have experience," he said.

Therefore, Ganjar hopes that many young people will be directly involved in the agricultural sector in the future.

On the same occasion, Ganjar also listened to the aspirations of farmers who came to the grand campaign event related to the scarcity of fertilizers.

According to him, the problem of fertilizer subsidies must be addressed to increase productivity and realize food self-sufficiency.

"I travel to many places, if the fertilizer is reduced by subsidies, poor farmers cannot farm properly. So our productivity will decrease, so it means that we cannot self-sufficiency," concluded Ganjar.
