Basarnas Searches For A 69-Year-Old Grandfather Falling From The Speedboat Of The Ternate-Makian Route
The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) conducted a search for an elderly passenger on the speedboat between islands of the Ternate-Makian route named Abdullah Hi Talib (69) who crashed in the waters of Tidore Islands City, Ternate, North Maluku (Malut).
Head of Basarnas Ternate, Fathur Rahman said the brief chronology of events on January 26, 2024 at around 07.00 Wit, Speed Sinar Moti Makian departed from Ternate to Makian.
Arriving around the waters of Toloa Village, Tidore Island, one passenger of the speed fell into the sea. Furthermore, the victim's family who was also in the speedboat immediately reported to the Ternate Basarnas.
"At 09.50 Wit, the Kansar Ternate Rescue Team together with the potential for SAR moved to the scene to search for victims," Fathur said in Ternate, Friday, January 26, as reported by Antara.
Meanwhile, the day before, Basarnas Ternate, conducted a search for six victims of the LCT Bora V ship that sank in the waters of Tagulandang, Sitaro Islands Regency, North Sulawesi.
The head of the Ternate Basarnas Fathur was contacted on Wednesday (24 January) saying that at around 11.20 WIT, the Ternate Basarnas Rescue Team moved to Batang Island two using KN SAR 237 Pandudewanata to help Basarnas Manado carry out a search for the six missing victims.

Fathur Rahman said, chronologically, on January 21, 2024 at 21.30 WITA LCT Bora V experienced an emergency ram door that was released and drowned due to the impact of extreme weather waves and needed further evacuation assistance, information was forwarded by Syahbandar Tagulang to Basarnas Manado.
On January 23, 2023. Basarnas Ternate received information from Basarnas Manado that at AJhir Wit, the fishing boat KM Mitra Bahari found 10 victims in the waters of Batang Dua, Ternate City.
