Not Participating Mahfud Withdraws From Cabinet, TKN Ensures Prabowo Is Loyal Until The End Of The Position Of The Minister Of Defense
Deputy Chairperson of TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Ahmad Muzani, responded to the statement of candidate for vice president (cawapres) number 3, Mahfud MD who wanted to resign from his position as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs to avoid conflicts of interest.According to Muzani, it is Mahfud's right if he wants to resign from the cabinet of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) administration."It is Pak Mahfud's right to take a political decision to resign or not. We respect all political decision steps that will be taken by Prof Mahfud to make future decisions," Muzani told reporters at the Media Center of TKN Prabowo-Gibran, South Jakarta, Thursday, January 25.Nevertheless, the Secretary General of the Gerindra Party believes that Presidential Candidate number 2, Prabowo Subianto will not follow Mahfud's steps who wants to resign from his position as Jokowi's minister.Muzani emphasized that Prabowo would complete his duties as Minister of Defense (Menhan) of the Republic of Indonesia until the end of his term of office."If Pak Prabowo as Minister of Defense, he, God willing, will complete his position until the end of his position," said Muzani.It is known that Mahfud MD intends to resign as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs at the right time. This step was taken after receiving advice from Presidential Candidate number 3, Ganjar Pranowo so that there is no conflict of interest.
