Palace Denies President's Car Broken Tires Until Jokowi Walked During A Visit In Central Java
JAKARTA - Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana emphasized that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi)'s car tires were not damaged or leaked during a working visit to Central Java, some time ago, like the narrative in a video that went viral on social media.
"I have checked with the Presidential Secretariat and the Secretariat that the incident recorded on the video was not changing the tire of the Presidential Car which was mentioned to be leaked," Ari said in a short message cut by ANTARA, Thursday, January 25.
Ari said what happened was that Paspampres members were loading or packing their t-shirts into the car through the driver's door in a squatted position because First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo was in the car at that time.
Meanwhile, President Joko Widodo is indeed getting off the vehicle on foot to measure the width of the road with the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, along the Sragen (Gemolong)-Grobogan-Blora route.
Previously, viral on social media video of the President walking during a working visit to the Central Java area, with the condition of the President's car stopping on the side of the road and Paspampres looking to squat next to the vehicle tire.
