Two Villages In Donggala Were Submerged By Floods
PALU - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Central Sulawesi Province (Sulteng) reported that two villages in Donggala Regency were flooded.
"From the reports we received, two villages were flooded, namely Kumbasa Village, Sindue District and Saloya Village in Sindue Tambusabora District," said Head of Emergency and Logistics Division of BPBD Central Sulawesi Province Andi Sembiring as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 24.
He explained that the Central Sulawesi BPBD Rapid Response Team (TRC) and local districts were still collecting field data, where this incident was triggered by heavy rain intensity that flushed Wednesday morning (24/1), causing the local river to overflow into residential areas.
In Kumbasa Village, 100 families (KK) were affected by the flood and are currently still isolated because the high river water discharge caused a bridge to be damaged so that it could not be accessed.
"For now, the urgent needs in Kumbasa Village are still being assessed by the team in the field and the bridge is still not accessible," he said.

He said the rain had subsided in the two villages, and the residents of Saloya Village had started cleaning their respective houses.
