Once A 7-year Vacuum Became A Meaningful Lesson For Padi Reborn

JAKARTA - Padi Reborn's long journey for more than two decades in the national music industry was marked by a seven-year hiatus, in 2010-2017.

Fadly (vocals) once said the communication and ego problems of the personnel made the band, which at that time had released five albums, had to be vacuumed.

However, Piyu (guitar) said that the vacuum period had taught many lessons for Padi personnel. When transforming into Padi Reborn in 2017, none of the initial personnel did not participate in returning to music together.

"Previously we were like friends. We made a band and suddenly it turned out to be famous, it turned out that we were successful. Yes, we never thought about it," said Piyu in Kuningan, South Jakarta recently.

"But yesterday we were on hiatus, then we wanted to start again, so we just arranged this first. So that in the future it will be good, so that later if there is anything we will sign it," he continued.

In the agreement signed before a notary, Piyu said, Padi Reborn personnel also agreed to prioritize the band rather than their respective egos.

Furthermore, Piyu also said Padi Reborn personnel also agreed not to appear alone outside the band. They are also ready to leave the name Padi Reborn when doing something that damages the band's name.

"In that commitment, we prioritize Pdi Reborn. So, no one should be solo models like other singers," said Piyu.

"Umpamanya ada hal yang mungkin membuat nama brand-nya Padi Reborn jadi tidak bagus, dia bahkan tidak berhak untuk membawa nama Padi atau menukin lagu-lagu Padi," tandasnya.
