Astronaut Ax-3 Collaborates With Expedition Crew 70 On The Space Station
JAKARTA The Dragon spacecraft for the Axiom 3(Ax-3) Mission has finally arrived at the International Space Station (ISS). The aircraft has docked at the ISS module and the hold gate has opened.
The presence of Commander Michael L!pez-Alegr!, Pilot Walter Villade, Mission Specialist Marcus Wandt, and Mission Specialist Alper Gezeravci were welcomed by seven crews from Expedition 70. After gathering, these eleven astronauts began carrying out their mission.
Before carrying out science activities, the four crew members of Ax-3 spent time studying the space station system and emergency procedures first. This learning is done for two days, from 20 to 21 January.
On Monday, January 22, the four crew members of Ax-3 began to divide their duties for science and media purposes. Lryptez-Alegratur and Walter Villade studied the influence of microgravity to biochemical neurodegenerate diseases or damage to human nerve cells.

Samples from the results of their research will be put into fluorescence microscopy to image cell images. This sample will be used for research that benefits astronauts and humans on Earth, namely cancer prevention and prediction.
Next, Alper Gezeravci worked on space botanical experiments to maintain life support systems on spacecraft, while Marcus Wandt studied plasma physics by observing low-temperature gas mixtures.
The various gases that Wandt will observe while on the ISS are ionized gas, neutral gas, and micron-sized particles. The entire research conducted by the four crew members of Ax-3 will be completed within two weeks.
While on the ISS, L!pez-Alegrnar and his three colleagues will work on more than thirty scientific experiments. The whole mission will be completed on Saturday, February 3 and they will return to Earth immediately.
