Karawang Police Name 7 Suspects In The Ormas Clashes Case

The Karawang Regency Police have named seven suspects in the clash between community groups (ormas) in Mekarjaya, Purwasari District, Karawang, West Java.

"The suspect has been detained at the Karawang Police Headquarters detention center," said the Karawang Deputy Chief of Police, Kompol Prasetyo PN, in Karawang, during the case exposure reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 23.

The clash, which was triggered by the seizure of project land in the Mekarjaya Village area, Purwasari, was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.

The Deputy Chief of Police said that the perpetrator with the initials RM (24), a resident of Rawabalang Hamlet, Dawuan Tengah Village, Cikampek District, Karawang, was the perpetrator who was arrested after the incident.

RM is one of seven suspects arrested by the police. Five other suspects are now required to report. Meanwhile, another suspect is still running away and has not been caught, now he is on the target of being hunted by the police.

The suspect beat the victim with his bare hands, using stones, bottles, blunt objects and sharp weapons. So that the victim was injured and undergoing treatment at the hospital.

In addition, the police confiscated a number of evidences in the form of six pieces of bamboo and a shop for the victim's clothes.
