Indonesia Masters 2024: Fajar/Rian Follow Leo/Daniel To The Second Round
JAKARTA - The men's doubles pair Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto managed to secure a ticket to the second round of the Indonesia Masters 2024.
The seventh place in the world stopped the Chinese Taipei pair, Lee Jhe-Huei/Teng Chun Hsun, in a two-game live match 21-16 and 21-14 at Istora Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, January 23, 2024, evening WIB.
This result increases Fajar/Rian's winning record over Lee/Teng's pair to 5-1. The only defeat they suffered occurred last year at the World Championships.
Fajar/Rian, who are the third seeds in this competition, are Indonesia's third representatives who managed to get through the first round.

In the second round, Fajar/Rian will meet Man Wei Chong/Kai Wun Tee. The Malaysian pair qualified for the second round after beating Danish representatives, Andreas Sondergaard/Jesper Toft.
The men's doubles pair Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin and the women's doubles Lanny Tria Mayasari/Ribka Sugiarto had previously secured a ticket to the second half for Indonesia.
Leo/Daniel qualified after stopping Mark Lamsfuss/Marvin Seidel. Meanwhile, Lany/Ribka defeated the trip of Germany's representative, Linda Efler/Isbael Lohau.
