Piyu Calls There Is A Binding Agreement Between Padi Reborn Personnel
Piyu said there was an agreement between the personnel when Padi transformed into Padi Reborn in 2017. He claimed the band was probably the first Indonesian band to do so.
"When we wanted to become Padi Reborn, we made an agreement where maybe it was the only band in Indonesia that made an agreement. We signed it in front of a notary. We discussed everything there," said Piyu in Kuningan, South Jakarta on Monday, January 22.
The agreement discusses many matters related to the sustainability of Padi Reborn as a band. One of the contents of the agreement requires personnel involved in drug abuse cases to leave the band.
The agreement also contains the commitment of the personnel to prioritize the band. The communication and ego problems that Fadly had revealed as the reason for Padi's vacuum are also discussed.
"There are all kinds of things we say there. It also includes anything that used to make us vacuum, we tell them there. So that later there will be anything we already have (the basis)," said Piyu.
"So, now because we are based on our commitment, we have signed, it means that we have committed. Yes, we have never had problems, because that's all. We don't change personnel," he continued.
Piyu feels that Padi Reborn is also getting more solid. Because the gig schedule is quite tight, no personnel dare to appear too often solo. However, even personnel who performed solo did not perform Padi's songs to prevent problems that might arise.

"It's even more difficult if you want to perform yourself, because our schedule is already tight, and it's also impossible, for example, to bring your own song too. No one goes that way. Most like Fadly, maybe he was invited several times, but he also has several other songs, yes, we still tolerate it," he said.
For information, Padi, who debuted on another album in 1999, has never changed personnel. Until now, Padi Reborn has been strengthened by Fadly (vocals), Piyu (guitar), Ari (guitar), Rindra (bass), and Yoyo (drums)
