Not Interested In Listening To The Vocalist Era Sepultura Album Derrick Green, Max Cavalera: I'm Busy
JAKARTA - In a new interview with Scott Itter of Dr. Music, Soulfly frontman Max Cavalera was asked if he had ever heard of one of Sepultura's albums recorded after his departure from the Brazilian thrash metal group. Here's the answer.
"I've never heard of it. It's like... People say if you're divorced from your wife and she's married to someone else, you don't have to open Facebook and see what they're doing. [You keep your distance]. I feel like that. So I'm not interested. I have a lot of things that keep me busy, "said Max.
"That's a natural question, and I'm sure a lot of people are wondering about that, but, yeah, I haven't [say anything]".
Max previously answered the same question in an interview with the Sticks For Stones in 2015. At that time, he said he didn't care about Sepultura or what they were doing.
"I just heard from fans that people don't like their albums, and they are ugly, and the band is experiencing a decline in quality, and, I don't know... I really don't care, it doesn't matter what they do. That's not my business at all," said Max.

Asked if he would continue to call his former Sepultura bandmate as a friend, Max firmly said "no!".
"There was a lot of hostility and bad vibrations in the camp, and a lot of bad things happened between us and them. So, yes, I wouldn't do it, guys," he added.
"I really don't care. Like, life goes on. For me, it's like, I'm more focused on the moment, what's in front of me and a lot of things are in front of me. A lot of projects... So, I have to move forward."
