APK Installed At The Cirebon Area Cemetery, Bawaslu Will Be Ordered This Wednesday

JABAR - The Cirebon City General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) admitted that it would control campaign props (APK) belonging to election participants installed in public cemetery areas for violating the rules.

"Especially for now, we are conducting an inventory, we will immediately carry out control on Wednesday (24 January) or the next few days," said Cirebon City's Legal, Prevention, Community Participation and Community Relations Coordinator Nurul Fajri in Cirebon, Monday, January 22, as reported by Antara.

Based on regulations, locations such as places of worship, educational rooms to public facilities, including burial areas, are points that are not allowed to be fitted by the APB.

Therefore, the Cirebon City Bawaslu has instructed the sub-district and sub-district election supervisory committee officers to collect data on the APK belonging to election participants installed in prohibited areas.

Fajri said that Bawaslu had received several complaints from the public regarding the APK installed at the burial site in Cirebon City.

"The APK installed in the cemetery or cemetery area is indeed our concern. In this context, there are actually provisions that regulate that the APK is prohibited from being installed in certain places," he said.

After collecting data, the Cirebon City Bawaslu immediately coordinated with all political parties to the presidential and vice-presidential candidate campaign team to independently release the APK. If this is ignored, Bawaslu officers together with the local Satpol PP will control the APK.

"We prioritize prevention. We ask that they release or remove the APK," he said.

Not only the burial area, Fajri appealed to all election participants not to install the APK on the median road because it has the potential to disrupt and endanger motorists.

Previously, the Cirebon City Bawaslu had also brought order to dozens of APKs that had been installed on several median roads in their area. "We received input from the public regarding the installation of this APK," he said.
