Today's Trial Continues In Illegal Senpi Cases, Dito Mahendra Will Read Exceptions
JAKARTA - The defendant Mahendra Dito Sampurno alias Dito Mahendra will undergo a follow-up trial in the alleged possession of firearms or illegal senpi at the South Jakarta District Court, today. The trial is scheduled to read the exception or objection note.
Based on the Case Investigation Information System (SIPP) of the South Jakarta District Court, Dito Mahendra's trial will be held in courtroom 4, at 11.00 WIB.
"The reading of the exception from the defendant's legal adviser," wrote SIPP of the South Jakarta District Court, quoted by VOI, Monday, January 22.
The exception is a step or opportunity for the defendant and his legal adviser to reject and object to the indictment given by the public prosecutor (JPU) in the trial process.
At the previous trial, Dito Mahendra was charged with possessing 9 illegal or unlicensed weapons. A total of 6 of them are senpi.
"6 firearms, 1 air rifle and 2 airsoft guns are not equipped with a Firearm Import Permit document and a legal firearm ownership pass document (BPSA)," said the prosecutor.
The six illegal guns are a Clock 17 gun, a S&W revolver, a 19 Zev Clock pistol, an AK 101 M4, and an Angstadt Arms pistol.
As for the air soft gun and air rifle which are also not equipped with a valid letter or document, namely, Airsoft Gun Heckler & Koch G36, Airsoft Gun Heckler & Koch MP5, and a Walther brand air rifle.

The nine weapons were the result of a search at Dito Mahendra's office on Jalan Erlangga V No. 20, Selong, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.
In this case, the prosecutor charged Dito Mahendra with Article 1 paragraph (1) of the Emergency Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 12 of 1951 concerning Changing the "Ordonantie Tijdelijke Bijzondere Strafbepalingen" and the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Formerly Nr 8 of 1948.
