South Kalimantan Police Reveals 3 Kilograms Of Methamphetamine From Jakarta, 3 Couriers Arrested
The Directorate of Drug Investigation of the South Kalimantan Police (Kalsel) revealed 2,963.57 grams or approximately three kilograms of methamphetamine from Jakarta that entered Banjarmasin through three carrier couriers.
"The three suspects with the initials AA (33), MJ (33) and HE (32) were arrested in the area of Jalan Ahmad Yani, Landasan Ulin District, Banjarbaru City on Wednesday (17/1) morning," said South Kalimantan Police Narcotics Investigation Director Kombes Kelana Jaya in Banjarmasin, reported by ANTARA, Friday, January 19.
The arrests of the three suspects were carried out separately, the first of which was arrested by suspect AA officers when carrying two packages of crystal methamphetamine weighing a total of 1,522.46 grams.
The evidence is stored by residents domiciled on Jalan Tanah Tinggi, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, DKI Jakarta in the bag he was carrying.

Of these two people, two packages of methamphetamine were found weighing a total of 1,441.11 grams.
Each suspect kept a package of methamphetamine, namely MJ weighing 731.28 grams in his bag and HE hiding 709.83 grams of crystal methamphetamine in his groin.
Based on the findings of all these evidences, the three suspects were charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) subs Article 112 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) of Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
Kelana stated that its members continue to carry out developments to be able to uncover the network of controlling dealers of the three suspects.
"What is certain is that this network is quite large, namely across provinces and across islands with many accomplices including in South Kalimantan," he explained.
