The Latest Generation Of Touareg Enter Malaysia Market, The Price?

JAKARTA - Volkswagen Touareg is confirmed to be launching in Malaysia soon, as announced through a teaser on the official Instagram account @Volkswagenmalaysia.

Based on observations of uploads on the Instagram page on Friday, January 19, Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has opened registration for potential buyers.

In a quote written in the post, "The journey of your life will begin soon, register yourself to have the new Touareg R-Line now."

While reported from the Paultan page, Touareg will be present in the sporty R-Line variant, powered by a 3.0 liter TSI V6 gasoline engine. This machine is capable of generating a power of 340 PS and a torque of 450 Nm, combined with an automatic transmission of eight accelerations and a driving system for all 4Motion permanent wheels.

The features listed for this SUV involve the IQ.Light HD Matrix front light, automatic self-levelling air suspension, and Dynaudio Consequence audio system with 730 watt amplification. In addition to the driver assistance sector, Touareg will be equipped with an IQ.Drive suite, including the night vision feature.

For additional information, this latest Touareg is a third generation model that experienced a facelift, and is scheduled to launch in May 2023. Even though Malaysia previously had the first and second generations of Touareg, this time the facelift version was launched.

The visual changes to the facelift include changes in the shape of the grip, LED headlights with L-shaped DRL lights, front and rear lights, and larger lower intakes. Inside the cabin, most of the interior remains the same as the model before the facelift, but is equipped with an updated infotainment system as part of the Innvision Cockpit.

Until now, there has been no information regarding the price, and there is no indication that Touareg will be produced locally (CKD).
