Completed This Year, The Revision Of The Rooftop PLTS Is Just Waiting For Jokowi's Blessing
JAKARTA - Director General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Jisman Hutajulu said that the revision of the Ministerial Regulation (Permen) of Energy and Mineral Resources No. 26 of 2021 concerning Roof Solar Power Plants (PLTS) will certainly be completed this year.
In fact, the revision of the regulation has been completed in harmonization at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham), but we still have to wait for President Joko Widodo's statement.
"Many already want to install a roof PLTS, now the harmonization has been completed, the Minister has also conveyed to the President for approval," said Jisman, quoted on Friday, January 19.
Jisman also emphasized that the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources had completed discussions with the Ministry of Finance, which previously thought that the Minister of PLTS Roof would further burden PT PLN (Persero)'s finances because the number of PLN customers was decreasing due to the installation of Rooftop PLTS, while PLN had already signed a electricity purchase contract from the generator.
"We have told you what if the Roof PLTS is implemented (to the Ministry of Finance). How the EBT can develop later can be more aggressive and it seems that the Ministry of Finance can accept it," continued Jisman.
Previously, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dadan Kusdiana, said that the revision of the Permen had been completed but there was still a request from the Ministry of Finance regarding the impact of Permen on PLN as a state-owned stun company. Regarding the request, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has carried out harmonization with the Ministry of Finance.
"Everything is finished. It has actually been finished from the beginning. Then there is an opinion from the Ministry of Finance and we have harmonized it again with the Ministry of Finance. Now convey permission to return to the president," added Dadan.

Dadan said the revision was carried out in the context of an energy transition, where the community and industry could contribute through the installation of Rooftop PLTS.
"But the pattern, if previously it was entrusted to PLN, the electricity produced could be used at another time, now it doesn't exist," explained Dadan.
