Sales Of Wholesales Honda In Indonesia Experience A Decline Towards The End Of 2023, This Is HPM's Response
JAKARTA - Honda managed to close the end of 2023 by obtaining wholesale sales (wholes) with a total of 138,967 units. This result, according to data from the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo), made Honda the third-largest manufacturer in Indonesia after Daihatsu and Toyota.
However, the sales of cars bearing the 'H' logo in the country have decreased in recent months. Starting from October with 11,938 units, then November with 10,599 units, and decreasing again with 8,423 vehicles.
Responding to this, Yusak Billy, as Sales & Marketing and Aftersales Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM), said that his party would try to improve its sales trend in 2024.
"Entering 2024, we are trying to regulate production and supply levels in order to maintain a healthy stock level and consistency in delivery to consumers," said Billy, when contacted by VOI, Wednesday, January 17.
Although wholesales got less impressive results, Billy added that Honda's vehicle retail sales ahead of closing 2023 were increasing compared to the previous few months.
Honda's retail sales are still increasing in December compared to the previous month, mainly supported by a fairly good consumer demand, Billy added.
