Targeting 3T Regions, AKan Government Adds 100 Locations Of One Price Fuel This Year
JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) will add 100 locations for One Price Fuel in 2024.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif said, with the addition of 100 locations, later all Indonesians can enjoy subsidized fuel at the same price.
"We are targeting that by 2024, 100 more must be installed. At least 100 more locations so that the 2024 target can be achieved," said Arifin, quoted on Tuesday, January 16.
It is known that throughout 2023 the government has succeeded in realizing 100 percent of the target at the beginning of the year by adding 89 locations for One Price Fuel.
Arifin further explained that this program is an initiative of the Indonesian government which aims to realize social justice for all Indonesian people by providing fuel oil (BBM) at the same price throughout Indonesia.
This program has provided tangible benefits for the community, especially in remote, outermost, and underdeveloped areas (3T), as well as archipelago areas, which previously often had difficulties in getting fuel supplies at affordable prices.
Based on data from the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas), 512 one-price fuel distribution agencies are spread across several remote islands in Indonesia.
The islands with the highest number of distribution agencies are Maluku and Papua with 175 distribution agencies, followed by regions in the Kalimantan Islands with 108 distribution agencies, and the Nusa Tenggara Islands with 94 distribution agencies.

"If we look at the distribution, we see that in general in Java, Bali and Madura there are not many more, Nusa Tenggara still needs a lot, Maluku and Papua also need to be in Kalimantan," explained Arifin.
Through the One Price Fuel program, people in the 3T area can enjoy subsidized fuel at the same price as people in other areas. This can increase public access to affordable and quality energy.
"We will continue to strive so that the people can receive the fuel at the same price in all locations," concluded Arifin.
