Kaesang Optimistic PSI Qualified For Senayan
YOGYAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep is optimistic that his party can qualify for Senayan by winning votes above 4 percent.
This statement was made by Kaesang after attending the PSI DIY Land Coffee event in Yogyakarta, Monday, January 15.
"This event is like our kick off, 30 days before the 2024 General Election to be able to win PSI later, God willing, it can qualify above 4 percent," he said as quoted by ANTARA.
In the 2019 election, PSI failed to win seats to the DPR. PSI currently has representatives in the DPRD in 14 provinces, namely Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, Riau Islands, Jambi, Bengkulu, Lampung, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Bali, NTB, and DKI Jakarta.
Kaesang this weekend campaigned for several locations in Semarang and Yogyakarta. The campaign was carried out to garner support for the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, as well as introduce PSI's party which he began to lead in September 2023.
In Semarang, President Joko Widodo's youngest son met with a number of communities and influencers. He also met with Volunteers Bala Gibran in Salatiga and asked them to win Prabowo-Gibran in one round.

Kaesang also hosted the lunch of the influencers in Yogyakarta before meeting with the Regent of Gunung Kidul, Sunaryanta.
Kaesang hopes that this campaign can make PSI more known to the public to lead his party to qualify for Senayan, after previously failing in the 2019 elections.
