Dealer Of IDR 4.5 Billion Methamphetamine Arrested At Toli-toli, Central Sulawesi

PALU - Toli-toli Police, Central Sulawesi, arrested a drug dealer of methamphetamine worth IDR 4.5 billion.

Toli-toli Police Chief AKBP Bambang Herkamto said the suspected methamphetamine dealer worth Rp. 4.5 billion who was secured was a man with the initials M (44) with his address at Salumpaga Village, North Toli-toli District.

"After going through a series of investigative activities for approximately three weeks based on the results of the report received, the Toli-toli Police Narcotics Team concluded that M who lives in the rented house of Jalan Mujahidin, Baolan District has carried out the circulation of methamphetamine," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, January 15.

Based on the results of the investigation, the police arrested M in the vicinity of the Toli-toli Hospital. The perpetrator was taken to his house for a search.

From the results of the search, the Toli-toli Police Narcotics Unit team managed to confiscate evidence of methamphetamine with a gross weight of 3,075 grams or about 3 kilograms.

"After a series of searches and processing of the crime scene (TKP) was carried out, the perpetrator was secured to the Toli-toli Police Headquarters to undergo legal proceedings," he said.

The police charged the suspect with Article 112 paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. With the threat of imprisonment for a minimum of four years and a maximum of 12 years. The maximum fine is IDR 800 million and and a maximum of IDR 8 billion.
