East Kalimantan Police Identify TikTok Account Threatening To Shoot Anies

SAMARINDA - Polda Kalimantan Timur melalui Unit Siber Direktorat Kriminal Khusus (Ditreskrimsus) melakukan sibercrime profiling atau identifikasi akun TikTok @rifanariansyah yang diduga melakukan pengancaman ke Calon Presiden (Capres) nomor 1 Anies Baswedan.

"We are currently conducting a series of profiling of the suspect's TikTok social media accounts," said Head of Public Relations of the East Kalimantan Police, Kombes Yusuf Sutejo, in Balikpapan as reported by ANTARA, Friday, January 12.

The threat was conveyed by the suspect when Anis Baswedan broadcast live on his TikTok account, this suspect narrated "Father's permission, shooting Anies' head, how long is the punishment," wrote the perpetrator.

From several uploads on the suspect's social media, it is strongly suspected that this suspect lives in one of the regencies or cities in East Kalimantan Province.

However, recently the account apparently no longer exists or has been deleted, this was also confirmed by the Head of Public Relations.

"Initially there was, but when the Cyber Unit checked the account it was no longer there," he said.

Even though it has been deleted, Yusuf admitted that the East Kalimantan Police Cyber Unit team has other technology to find the account owner.

The police have also taken steps to follow up on this case, these steps are taken to be able to prove the suspicion made by the suspect.

"Whatever article is later suspected for the suspect, we must also ensure that there are victims first, whether they feel threatened or objected," he said.

In a sense, the profile or identification of the suspected social media account of this threat is only a first step.

"We are still waiting for these victims to report if they feel threatened," said Yusuf.

If the report has been received by the East Kalimantan Police, the police will conduct an investigation.

"But so far we from the East Kalimantan Regional Police have not received any reports or objections to the threat," he said.
