Supporting 2023 Asian Cup Spectators, Qatar Provides Free Public Transportation
JAKARTA - The 2023 Asian Cup will start rolling on Friday, January 12, 2024. The opening ceremony will be held at the Lusail Stadium at 22.00 WIB.
The tournament opener brought the host Qatar against Lebanon at 23.00 WIB at the Lusail Stadium.
This grand event will suck up a huge audience interest In order to support the mobility of the event, the Qatar Government provides free public transportation for spectators who already have tickets.
Launching Alkass on Friday, January 12, 2024, this free transportation facility is a collaboration between the organizing committee and the Ministry of Transportation.
"Towards the start of the 2023 Asian Cup, we conveyed an invitation to fans to invite them to use sophisticated and environmentally friendly public transportation while attending the match."
"They can take advantage of high-level services that guarantee unique and extraordinary experiences," said Director of the Public Transportation Project of the Qatar Ministry, Musnad Ali Al-Misnad.

Ticket holders for the 2023 Asian Cup match only need to scan tickets at Metro Doha Station. After that, the audience can use transportation to the stadium on match day.
In the 2023 Asian Cup, five stadiums in Qatar were designated as event venues. The five stadiums can be reached through the Doha Metro Station network.
Free bus transportation services during the 2023 Asian Cup will be available from Lusail, Al Wakra, Free Zone, and Qatar University stations to Al Bayt, Al Janoub, Al Thumama, and Abdullah bin Khalifa stadiums.
The Metro Doha, tram and Lusail bus network also provides wheelchair access for people with disabilities.
"The modern infrastructure of the transportation system in Qatar will allow fans and participating teams to reach stadiums and other major events plus the most prominent tourist attractions in the country easily," said Musnad Ali Al-Misnad.
