Asian Cup 2023 Schedule, Opening Ceremony Held Today
JAKARTA - The 2023 Asian Cup will start rolling on Friday, January 12, 2024. The opening ceremony titled The Lost Chapter of Kelileh & Demneh.
Qatar as the host of this edition held the opening ceremony of the 2023 Asian Cup at the Lusail Stadium at 17.00 local time or 21.00 WIB.
Launching The Peninsula, the opening ceremony will present a message related to celebrations of differences. The message is in line with the values held firmly by Qatar's host.
After the opening ceremony, the competition in the 2023 Asian Cup will be marked by the opening match between Qatar vs Lebanon at the same location at 19.00 local time or 23.00 WIB.
As the host, Qatar will try to get its first win in the 2023 Asian Cup. Moreover, Qatar is a team with the status of defending champion after lifting the 2019 Asian Cup trophy.
