Malaysian Media Calls National Team Trial Results Ahead Of The 2023 Asian Cup Annoying

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team has completed three test agendas in preparation for appearing in the 2023 Asian Cup which will take place on January 12-10 February 2024 in Qatar. The minor results of the overall match are in the spotlight of Malaysian media.

Garuda's squad lost 0-4 and 1-2 in two matches against Libya on January 2 and 5, 2024. Finally, Shin Tae-yong's team lost to Iran 0-5 on January 9, 2024.

The series of negative results made Malaysian media, Eating Football, commenting that the Indonesian national team was troubling.

With other words, there are doubts about the Garuda Squad's trip to the 2023 Asian Cup later.

"Indonesia's preparation for the Asian Cup is a bit troubling because the team recorded three consecutive defeats. Losing against the Libyan team (0-4), (1-2), and most recently Iran (0-5)," the media wrote, quoted on Thursday, January 11, 2024.

This disturbing expression is not excessive. If you look at the 2023 Asian Cup situation, the Indonesian national team is in Group D which is quite heavy. The Garuda squad will compete against strong countries, namely Iraq, Vietnam, and Japan.

Indonesia became the most distended team about FIFA rankings. However, despite comments that surfaced about negative results in the test match, the Indonesian national team had to focus and work hard to prove themselves. Moreover, the inaugural match will begin with facing Iraq on January 15, 2024.
