The Perpetrator Of The Dismembered-cored Cement Body Case In Semarang 2023 Was Sentenced To 20 Years In Prison

The panel of judges sentenced Muhammad Husen to 20 years in prison, convicted of the murder of Irwan Hutagalung (53) whose body was mutilated and found in a concrete casting in Semarang in May 2023.

"To declare the defendant guilty of committing a criminal act of murder accompanied by other criminal acts," said Chief Justice Sarwedi at a trial at the District Court (PN) Semarang, Central Java, Thursday, January 11, confiscated by Antara.

The verdict read by the judge was lighter than the demands of the public prosecutor who demanded that the defendant be sentenced to life imprisonment.

According to the judge, the defendant Husen was found guilty of violating Article 339 of the Criminal Code regarding murder.

However, regarding the defendant Husen committing premeditated murder, the judge said it was not proven.

In his consideration, the judge stated that the defendant's actions had resulted in deep hurt for the victim's family. However, the defendant has regretted and admitted his mistake.

Based on this decision, the defendant Husen, who underwent an online trial, immediately stated that he accepted, while the prosecutor stated that he was thinking about it.

The disclosure of the murder case accompanied by mutilation began with the discovery of the body of a man suspected of being a murder victim with a concrete casting condition at a water refilling place on Jalan Mulawarman Raya, Semarang City, on May 8, 2023.

The victim, known as Irwan Hutagalung (53) was killed by mutilation and his body was cast by Muhammad Husen, who is his employee.
