Ganjar Awaits KPK Debate On Corruption Eradication With 2 Other Presidential Candidates January 17

Presidential candidate (candidate) number 3, Ganjar Pranowo stated that he is ready to compete with ideas related to eradicating corruption in an event held by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in Jakarta.

The KPK event was titled Strengthening Anti-Corruption for State Administrators with Integrity or Integrity Paku.

"Oh, I am happy. I have been waiting for that," said Ganjar on the sidelines of his campaign activities in Tegal, Central Java (Central Java), Thursday, January 11, was confiscated by Antara.

Ganjar also reminisced about himself, who should have been asked about the concept of eradicating corruption by the KPK when he became a candidate for governor of Central Java (Central Java) in 2013.

However, at that time, Ganjar admitted that he was not asked by the KPK because he had the campaign slogan 'Mboten Corruption, Mboten Ngapusi'. "When it was my turn, I still remember the commissioner (KPK member) said, Mr. Ganjar, I don't have to ask because the tagline was already'mbotten of corruption, the bus can run out', we just have to see the results," he said.

Reflecting on this, Ganjar also stated that he was very ready to attend the KPK's invitation to Paku Integrity which is scheduled for January 17. Moreover, Ganjar wants to share his experience related to eradicating corruption during his two terms as governor of Central Java. "It has been 10 years that the results are hopefully from the first question as a governor candidate, I have carried out 10 years to this day. I really want to tell my experience; so it's good," said Ganjar. KPK invited three pairs of candidates for the 2024 presidential election to attend Paku Integrity and convey the idea of anti-corruption each.

"It is true, the opportunity will be given for each couple to convey (associated corruption eradication)," said KPK spokesman Ipi Maryati when confirmed in Jakarta, Wednesday, January 10.

Ipi explained that strengthening integrity and anti-corruption to the pair of candidates participating in the 2024 presidential election is a form of briefing to prospective state administrators to always provide an example in carrying out their roles and duties in the future.

In addition, the anti-corruption briefing is also to strengthen the anti-corruption commitment of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates. The hope is that in the future it can encourage policies that support the eradication of corruption according to the UNCAC and Jakarta Statement on Principle for Anti-corruption Agents ratification.
