Mahfud MD Please Greetings 3 Fingers Ma'ruf Amin Forms Support
SAMPANG - Candidate for vice president serial number 3 Mahfud MD responded to the three-finger greeting by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin during the celebration of the 51st Anniversary of the PDI-P.
On the sidelines of the campaign in Sampang Regency, East Java, Mahfud hopes that the three fingers of Ma'ruf Amin will be a form of vice presidential support for him and presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election.
"Yes, hopefully, yes, hopefully," Mahfud at the Nahdlatut Thullab Islamic Boarding School, Sampang Regency, reported by ANTARA, Thursday, January 11.
Mahfudpun gave an example of the form of support for candidate pair number 3 Ganjar-Mahfud by closing three fingers, namely index, middle, and sweet.
"If I do this," he said, demonstrating three finger greetings.

Previously, while attending the 51st Anniversary of the PDI-P at the PDI-P Party School in Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, Ma'ruf Amin who was present as an invitation guest showed three finger greetings in the photo session at the end of the event, together with the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri and the board members of the party.
Meanwhile, Spokesperson for Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, Masduki Baidlowi, emphasized that Ma'ruf Amin consistently took a neutral position in the 2024 presidential election contest.
"WapresMa'ruf Amin consistently takes a neutral position in the 2024 presidential election, as often conveyed on various occasions. Netrality is one of the reasons the vice president is present at the PDI-P Anniversary event, as well as the anniversary of other political parties," said Masduki.
He emphasized that the three-finger metal greeting shown by Ma'ruf Amin during the 51st Anniversary of the PDI-P should not be perceived that Ma'ruf Amin supports certain presidential and vice-presidential pairs in the 2024 presidential election.
