Expenditure Campaign Funds Expenditure Rp180 Thousand Unreasonable, PSI: The Process Is Not Final

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) DPP Grace Natalie said the PSI campaign fund expenditure report reported by the General Election Commission (KPU) was IDR 180 thousand, the process was not final.

"This report is still ongoing, there are transactions that have not been paid. We will input this when it is paid off, we will input it when it has made a payment and we receive proof of the receipt," Grace said in a statement Thursday, January 11.

Grace said the total expenditure of the party's campaign will be seen later in the Campaign Fund Revenue and Expenditure Report (LPPDK) at the end of the campaign period.

Once again, the report is not final, we are still collecting data. The data in the KPU is an unfinished document and will continue to grow," Grace continued.

He emphasized that PSI would report all use of campaign funds according to applicable regulations. There is still time for improvement and improvement by the KPU.

Previously, the Chairman of the Indonesian General Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) Rahmat Bagja said that the issuance of the initial campaign report (LADK) of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) which was only IDR 180 thousand had to be checked.

"Yes, it must be checked why the person concerned is like that," said Bagja.

According to Bagja, sometimes political parties submit makeshift reports and have just made improvements lately. This, he said, became a matter of conformity among political parties.

"Sometimes people to comply with the program are put in first, the repairs are later. That is also a problem," said Bagja.

Bagja said that the LADK of political parties, both revenue and expenditure, must continue to be updated. Moreover, later there will be a Campaign Fund Revenue and Expenditure Report (LPPDK).

"It must continue to be updated, there will be an LPPDK later. There will be an update," said Bagja.

The chairman of Bawaslu said it would be illogical if later the expenditure of political party campaign funds was still at Rp180 thousand, while the campaign was carried out in many places.

"It's not rational if it's still Rp. 180 thousand. Where are you going? They campaign everywhere, how come there's no report? That's not logical and irrational," added Bagja.

The General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia conveyed the details of the total revenue and expenditure in the LADK of all national political parties participating in the 2024 General Election, Tuesday.

Based on the LADK, the PDI-P is listed as the political party with the highest total receipts and expenditures, namely Rp. 183,861,799,000 (Rp. 183 billion) and Rp. 115,046,105,000 (Rp. 115 billion), respectively.

Meanwhile, PSI is listed as the political party with the smallest expenditure, which is Rp. 180,000; while the total revenue is Rp. 2,002,000,000 (Rp. 2 billion).
