Gibran Gets Support From A Thousand Kiai Villages In Banyuwangi
JAKARTA - Candidate for vice president number 2 Gibran Rakabuming Raka continued his campaign series by visiting with a Thousand Kiai Kampung at the Ibnu Sina Islamic Boarding School, Banyuwangi, East Java.
The caretaker of Ibnu Sina Masykur Ali Islamic Boarding School said that the gathering event titled Halaqoh Kebangsaan Kiai Kampung Bersama Gibran Rakabuming Raka was also to affirm support for the Prabowo-Gibran pair in the 2024 presidential election.
"When Banyuwangi is bright, then all of Java is bright. What does it mean? If Prabowo-Gibran wins in Banyuwangi, then all of Indonesia will win," said Kiai Masykur as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 10.
Kiai Masykur said that Bi;a Prabowo-Gibran won one round, could save the state budget of more than Rp27 trillion. He is of the view that the Prabowo-Gibran pair has programs that side with the interests of pesantren.
"If Mas Gibran becomes Vice President, he will carry out the mandate of the law, namely the Eternal Islamic Boarding School Fund," said Kiai Mansur.

Meanwhile, Gibran asked the Islamic boarding school families to oversee the realization of the Endowment Islamic Boarding School program. He explained that the program was one of the government's efforts towards the era of Indonesia Gold 2045.
"To go to Indonesia Gold, a golden generation must be prepared. The students should not be forgotten," he said.
Gibran said the Prabowo-Gibran pair also wanted students to be able to answer the challenges of the times.
"We want expert students in the field of AI (artificial intelligence). Students who understand IoT, Islamic banking, sharia economy, students can understand smart farming, students who control the fields that the industry needs," said Gibran.
Gibran continued his political safari on the 44th day of the campaign period, Wednesday, by visiting two areas in East Java, namely Banyuwangi Regency and Jember Regency.
Gibran, who is still active as mayor of Surakarta, took time off while campaigning in East Java.
