Bandung City Government Reviews Braga Street Area Free From Vehicle Parking
BANDUNG - The City Government (Pemkot) of Bandung, West Java, is still reviewing the implementation of the Jalan Braga area to be free from parking four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles, so that visiting tourists feel more comfortable.
"Maybe some of them are parking arrangements, such as not being allowed to park there. This is being studied more deeply. Hopefully we can make this happen," said Bandung Mayor Bambang Tirtoyuliono, Wednesday, January 10.
Bambang said the idea needed to consider a number of other aspects and currently communication with various stakeholders is still being carried out.
"I have conveyed the idea and I have tried to discuss it with the ranks of the Bandung City Forkopimda," he said.
According to him, if the Braga area can be improved, tourists will be more comfortable to enjoy the road which has a length of about 850 meters.
"Currently the condition is full of vehicles. I want Jalan Braga to be enjoyed by pedestrians, not full of vehicles," said Bambang.

He hopes that the idea of sterilizing Jalan Braga into a vehicle parking-free area can actually be realized to increase comfort, especially for pedestrians.
"Why should we make it happen? Again, our branding is a tourism city. One of them is Jalan Braga," said Bambang.
Bambang assessed that the city of Bandung as a city of service and tourism must always increase the potential for tourism and culture. One of them is the arrangement in the Braga area.
"We all have a desire, one of the tourist destinations is Jalan Braga so that it can be enjoyed by Bandung residents and outside Bandung," said Acting Mayor of Bandung.
