Cianjur Police Hunt For Rp110 Million Money Thief Stored In Jok Motorcycle

The Cianjur Police Satreskrim Team, West Java, is hunting for the perpetrators of theft of Rp 110 million which is stored under the victim's motorcycle seat on behalf of Uwong, a resident of Warungkondang District, in the Pasar Muka parking area.

Kasatreskrim Cianjur Police AKP Tono Listianto said his party had received reports of theft which were recorded on CCTV in the parking area of the market, so a number of members were deployed to hunt down the perpetrators whose identities were already known.

"We will arrest them as soon as possible. Currently, officers have been deployed to hunt down the perpetrators who are suspected of having been stalking the victim since disbursing money from the bank," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 9.

His party asked residents who disbursed large money from the bank to be careful and vigilant, if necessary, ask for escort from the police without being charged so as not to become the target of the perpetrators of the theft.

"If you need a police escort, please contact the Cianjur Police or the nearest Polsek so that residents who withdraw money can withdraw or bring money safely," he said.

Meanwhile, the theft began when the victim, who after withdrawing money from the bank, amounted to Rp130 million, stopped by Pasar Muka to shop for the needs of his shop. Previously, the victim separated money for shopping amounting to Rp20 million, while the rest was stored under the seat of his motorbike.

After a few minutes the victim left the motorbike in the parking lot, from CCTV, it was seen that a man in a gray shirt approached the victim's motorbike and had time to go back and forth, such as monitoring the situation before opening the motorcycle seat and taking the victim's money away.

"My uncle Uwong just realized that his money was lost after he arrived at the shop because when he opened the seat of the motorbike, the money stored in it was gone," said the victim's nephew Futuh Cahya (19).

Finding this, Futuh and his uncle reported this to the Cianjur Police. Previously they had seen CCTV at the shop where they were shopping at Pasar Muka, where a man was seen opening the motorcycle seat in a matter of seconds and taking the Rp110 million away.
