Prabowo's Presidential Candidate Promises Palm Oil Downstream Factory In Riau

PEKANBARU - presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto in his political oration promised to build a downstream factory that produces palm oil derivative products while campaigning at the Sudirman Sports Building in Pekanbaru City, Riau.

"We don't want our natural wealth to be sold at a low price. We will downstream our natural wealth. The mining products, minerals, palm oil heads. In Indonesia, especially Riau, which is a palm oil producer, we will build a palm oil management plant," Prabowo said in front of thousands of supporters, reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 9.

So far, he said, Indonesia has only exported palm oil raw materials at low prices. With the construction of downstream factories, products derived from palm oil raw materials have a higher selling value

He believes this program will improve the welfare of farmers and target the wider community. "We must side with the people, especially in the weakest layers, we must help farmers, we must eliminate poverty from Indonesia," he said.

In addition, if elected later he promised Indonesia to produce its own electric car because the next generation of the nation is considered capable of doing that. "We will build electric cars, all of these potentials are in front of our eyes, I'm sure we can do it," he said.

For this reason, Prabowo asked for support from the entire Riau community to win the Prabowo-Gibran pair to become the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the period 2024-2029.

"That's why I ask for support, I ask Riau to win big. Don't listen to people who try to incite, don't want to be pitted against each other, Indonesia must work together, collaborate," he said.
