Lautaro Martinez Kian Near New Contract Signs With Inter Milan

JAKARTA - Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez immediately signed a new contract extension. He also made sure he was happy to stay at Inter.

Inter are certain to keep Martinez and will immediately extend his contract which expires in June 2026. However, the signing of a new contract for the player will soon be completed.

Martinez said there was indeed a slight problem. It's just that it didn't interfere with the plan to extend the contract of the player who joined 2018.

"It didn't take long before we signed the contract update. But there are still details to be taken care of. Until now, we are on the right track," Martinez said.

Martinez is optimistic that he will stay at Inter. The Argentine national team striker will also not leave the I Nerazzurri he brought to win the Scudetto in 2023.

Not only that, Martinez brought Inter to win the Coppa Italia, Supercoppa Italiana and reach the Champions League final. Unfortunately, Inter lost 1-0 to Manchester City in the top match.

The striker who also won Argentina at the 2022 World Cup shows that he is a loyal player. A number of front players have already been in and out of Inter, including Edin Dzeko and Romelu Lukaku. But Martinez remained at Inter.

Martinez's loyalty makes coach Simone Inzaghi give him responsibility as team captain.

Not only that, the club will also give the highest salary in a new contract. Even Martinez is rumored to be the player with the highest salary in the Italian Serie A.

"I had a fantastic year's season at Inter. The only failure was in Istanbul [the Champions League final]. But we have developed as a team. I'm also happy to be able to stay at Inter," Martinez said.

Martinez himself again played an important role in making Inter the Winter Champions or the half-season champion after a 2-1 win over Verona, Sunday, January 7 in the morning WIB. The 26-year-old forward scored a goal that opened La Beneamata's victory.

"We remain focused and don't feel anxious. It's a natural thing when we have a bit of trouble in a few games like against Genoa and Verona. They really fight to get points," he said.
