TKN Ensures Prabowo Will Not Attack Opponents In The Third Presidential Candidate Debate

JAKARTA - The Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) confirmed that the presidential candidate number 2, Prabowo Subianto, will not use an attacking strategy in the third debate held by the KPU at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday, January 7, 2024.

The problem is, TKN claims that the theme of debate is Prabowo's daily food, who is also the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia.

The secretary of TKN, Nusron Wahid, said that Prabowo only wanted to convey ideas related to the theme of debate, namely defense, security, international relations, and geopolitical issues.

"The goal is to convey the vision and mission well. There is no attacking element. So, it flows just like water," said Nusron, Sunday, January 7, 2024.

However, the Golkar politician said Prabowo always anticipates if he gets an attack from another presidential candidate.

However, Nusron continued, Prabowo would answer casually. What is clear is that the General Chairperson of Gerindra will not humiliate or demean other presidential candidates.

"What's called a debate against an attack, yes, it's normal, just answer it," said Nusron.

Previously, a member of the TKN Expert Council Prabowo-Gibran, Budiman Sudjatmiko, believed that the presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto would shine in the third debate.

He assessed that Prabowo had a debate theme that included defense, security, international relations, and geopolitical.

"This third debate theme is Mr. Prabowo very much. So, for us, we are confident that Pak Prabowo will be able to present his vision as a strategic leader and visionary leader in a world that is versatile and uncertain," said Budiman at the Prabowo Volunteer Secretary-Gibran, West Jakarta, Thursday, January 4, 2024.

According to Budiman, Prabowo is able to anticipate global uncertainty in the midst of many countries that will hold elections. The reason is, there are more than 50 countries that will replace leaders.

"Moreover, there are election events in many strategic countries in the world, we can anticipate this," he continued.

Nevertheless, Budiman ensured that Prabowo would remain consistent in not attacking other presidential candidates in the third debate. Prabowo, he said, would only talk about the vision and mission as well as the idea of pair number 2.

"The evaluation, we remain consistent, we will talk about vision and mission, not talking about looking for the ugliness of others. Once again I remind you that the presidential and vice presidential debate is the most expensive debate in the world or at least in Indonesia," said Budiman.
