Muhaimin: Leaders Must Be Trusted And Bring A Sense Of Security
JAKARTA - Candidate for vice president number 1 Muhaimin Iskandar said a leader must be trusted and maintain the mandate of the people, so that all policies must prioritize the benefit of the community.
During a visit to the Darul Muwahhidin Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes) in Garut, West Java, Muhaimin explained that in the context of national leadership, a leader such as the president or vice president must focus on the values of piety to God Almighty and be able to provide a sense of security and comfort to the people or people who are led.
"National leadership must focus on piety, trust, in Al-Amin. Al-Amin means it can be trusted, then brings a sense of security," said Muhaimin as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, January 4.
The general chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) said a leader must consistently carry out the mandate, so as not to deviate and injure people's expectations.
