DKPP Receives Report Of TKN Prabowo-Gibran Regarding Central Jakarta Bawaslu
JAKARTA - The Election Organizers Honorary Council (DKPP) confirmed that it had received a report from the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) regarding the alleged ethical violation committed by the Central Jakarta Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu).
"Information from the complaint section, the report came in this afternoon at 11.30 WIB," said DKPP member Ratna Dewi Pettalolo, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 3.
As stipulated, after receiving the complaint or report, DKPP will carry out administrative verification.
If the administrative verification results are declared eligible, the next stage is material verification. After the material verification of the report is declared eligible, the complaint will be registered as a case and ready to be tried.
Previously, the report was conveyed by the Deputy Commander of the Echo (Hunkum and Advocacy) TKN Prabowo-Gibran Habiburokhman at the Central Jakarta Bawaslu Office after accompanying the Vice Presidential Candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka to clarify his activities in the Car Free Day (CFD) Jakarta area on December 3, 2023.
Habib, Habiburokhman's nickname, explained that the report was carried out because TKN Prabowo-Gibran assessed that Central Jakarta Bawaslu was not professional in handling alleged election violations by Gibran, namely campaigning along the CFD Jakarta area from Jalan Thamrin to the HI Roundabout.
According to him, the Central Jakarta Bawaslu has violated the principles in the law, namely Ne Bis In Idem or a case with objects, parties and the main materials of the same case, decided by the court and has legal force, whether granting or refusing, cannot be re-examined for the second time.
Previously, the alleged election crime related to the Gibran case in CFD had been investigated by the Indonesian Bawaslu together with the Prosecutor's Office and the Police who are members of the central Integrated Law Enforcement Center (Sentra Gakkumdu).
The Gakkumdu Center stated that Gibran's activities did not fulfill the element of election crime so that this was not an election criminal offense.
The Central Jakarta Bawaslu then conducted further investigations regarding potential violations of other laws and regulations.

On Friday (12/12/2023), Central Jakarta Bawaslu Data and Information Violation Coordinator Dimas Trianto Putro said the problems studied by his party were not related to alleged election crimes, but related to other alleged violations such as the use of CFD for political activities.

Regarding the report to the DKPP, the Head of Central Jakarta Bawaslu Christian Nelson Pangkey said that his party had no problem with this.
According to him, each party can report to the DKPP regarding allegations of ethical violations by election organizers, as regulated by Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections (Pemilu).
