President Jokowi Inaugurates 6 New Bridges On The North Cross Of Java
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated six bridges that replaced the Callendar hamilton (CH) bridge across northern Java.
According to the President, new bridges need to be built because the previous bridge had exceeded the age of its service.
"After yesterday on the south side, we inaugurated three bridges in lieu of three hamilton CANlendar bridges, this afternoon we also inaugurated six bridges in lieu of the hamilton callendar bridge, which is more than 40 years of service," said Jokowi as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 3.
President Jokowi then explained that the replacement was also because the previous bridge was deemed unfit for use. In addition, the burden that crosses the bridges is also increasing so that a replacement is needed.
"It needs a new replacement so that the burden becomes better and the mobility of people, the mobility of goods, logistics mobility can run quickly on it," he said.
