No Money To Buy Tickets Home, British Caucasians Deported From Bali Because Of Overstay
BADUNG - A male foreign citizen (WNA) from England with the initials BAH (24) was deported from Bali Island, due to overstay. This foreigner exceeds the time limit for a residence permit because he does not have money to buy a round ticket.
Head of the Immigration Detention Center (Rudenim) Denpasar Gede Dudy Duwita said his party was taking firm steps in taking action against rogue foreigners in Bali who violated the overstay.
"The person concerned was deported for violating Article 78 Paragraph 2, Law Number 6, Year 2011 concerning immigration," said Duwita, Wednesday, January 3.
This British foreigner entered Bali on September 29, 2023 using Visa On Arrival (VOA) for a vacation.
This foreigner is also interested in living in Bali. In order to meet the needs of daily life, this British foreigner works online to market construction products.
He admitted that he did not leave Indonesia when the residence permit ended on November 27, 2023 because of his inability to buy a return ticket to England.
The condition of financial difficulties made this British foreigner seek help from the British Embassy. While waiting for help, this foreigner was secured to the Ngurah Rai Immigration office.
