Polda Metro Examines Reporter Of Firli Bahuri's Case Using DJKA Corruption Documents At The Pretrial Session

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya is said to have examined the Chairman of the Indonesian Budget and Anti-Corruption Transparency Agency or Lemtaki Eddy Susilo, today.

The examination was related to the alleged case of bringing secret KPK documents regarding the arrest operation of the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation to a pretrial hearing at the South Jakarta District Court.

"Yes, I was examined regarding the pretrial hearing of Firli Bahuri," said Eddy to VOI, Wednesday, January 3.

The examination is a follow-up to Eddy's report which is registered with the number LP/B/7588/XII/2023/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA, dated December 18.

In the report, Filri Bahuri and Ian Iskandar as their attorneys were the reported parties.

The examination process took place at the State Security Sub-Directorate (Kamneg) of the General Criminal Investigation Directorate. Eddy was asked about 10 questions. Of course, the questions raised by investigators were about the alleged criminal acts reported.

"The examination starts from 12.00 to 17.00. There are about 10 questions," he said.

In the report, Firli Bahuri is suspected of violating Article 45 of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure.

Previously, the Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto stated that he would follow up on Lemtaki's report regarding the alleged misuse of documents handling the alleged bribery case at the Ministry of Transportation's DJKA. The former chairman of the KPK, Firli Bahuri, is the reported party.

"Yes, we'll see, we'll examine it, if there is a report, we have to follow up," Karyoto told reporters, Thursday, December 21.

After the reporting file is investigated, investigators will collect witness testimony. Then, confirm whether the status of the document that was allegedly leaked was confidential or not.

The move was taken to ensure whether or not there was a criminal offense behind the report.

"What is leaked, what are the documents, the reporter will bring the documents, not the same as the ones in the cemetery, so we will examine them first," said Karyoto.
