Semarang District Court Sentenced To 9 Years In Prison Defendant Of Child Death Of Papua Governor Of Mountains
JATENG - Ahmad Nashir, a defendant in the case of the death of ABK (16), son of the Acting Governor of Papua Mountains Nikolaus Kondomo, was sentenced to 9 years in prison.
Semarang District Court (PN) spokesman Haruno Patriadi said the verdict handed down by Chief Judge Bambang Budi Mursito was lighter than the verdict of the Public Prosecutor (JPU) for 14 years.
"It was found guilty as referred to in Article 81 paragraph 5 of Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning Child Protection," he said in Semarang, Central Java (Central Java), Wednesday, January 3.
According to him, one of the judges' considerations in making the decision included the victim's family having forgiven and there has been peace.
Regarding this decision, Public Prosecutor Supinto Priyono still expressed his thoughts
Previously, on May 18, 2023, the Semarang Polrestabes investigated the case of the death of a 16-year-old woman in a boarding house on Jalan Pawiyatan Luhur, Semarang City.

The victim is known to be the son of Nikolaus Kondomo, Acting Governor of Papua Mountains who is also an Expert Staff for Inter-Agency Relations and International Cooperation at the Attorney General's Office. The victim was taken to the hospital before finally being declared dead.
From the crime scene, the police secured evidence in the form of a number of bottles of alcoholic beverages of various types.
The results of the forensic examination stated that the victim ABK died from respiratory failure and poisoning.
