Make Sure The Government's Social Assistance Continues, Moeldoko: There Was Before Mas Gibran Cawapres
JAKARTA - Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Moeldoko ensured that the government will continue the 10-kilogram rice social assistance program (bansos) which has been distributed since April 2023.
Moeldoko said that the social security program social assistance has been initiated by the government for a long time and the benefits have been felt by millions of Indonesians, especially those who are underprivileged.
"The community has finally reduced spending with 10 kilograms of government assistance. So nothing, there is no tendency whatsoever, this is indeed a social security program that has been initiated by the government for a long time," said Moeldoko to the media crew at the Bina Graha building in Jakarta in a written statement, Wednesday, January 3.
Moeldoko said the social assistance program, especially the social assistance for rice, had nothing to do with the 2024 General Election. This is because social assistance will continue to be provided until March 2024.
The program to provide rice assistance to the poor long before Mas Gibran (Gibran Rakabuming Raka) became a vice presidential candidate (cawapres). The President saw that the price of this rice was in a high, stable condition, but as soon as there was assistance for the poor," said Moeldoko.

He also dismissed the assumption that the provision of social assistance no longer refers to the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) of the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos).
He conveyed that in the distribution of social assistance, the government synergized three databases, namely the Ministry of Finance's Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS), the Ministry of Finance's Socio-Economic Registration (Regsosek), and data from the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture.
"All of that is part of the data refinement so that it is right on target, there is no other purpose," he said.
