The Ganjar Camp Proposes A Form Of The Audit Committee Of The Survey Institute, The AMIN National Team: The Urgency Does Not Yet Exist
JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the National Team for the Winning of Anies-Muhaimin (AMINAn National Team) Billy David Neututumilena responded to the proposal of the Ganjar-Mahfud camp for the formation of a committee to audit the independence of survey institutions.
According to Billy, the formation of the survey agency audit committee during the 2024 election year is currently not needed.
"We should depart from the presumption of everything in an objective way. They can see that there is a survey basis without the intended settings agenda. But, if it is proposed 03, I don't think the urgency is yet," said Billy at the AMIN Winning House, Jalan Diponegoro, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, December 3.
Billy said that current election participants are better off leaving it entirely to the public to assess the support and electability level of the presidential and vice presidential candidates.
"We return it to the community. The credibility of the survey agency, if it is not neutral or in favor of one candidate, is at stake in their own credibility," explained Billy.
"So, we trust survey institutions too. Let the assessment not be from us," he added.

Previously, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto accused the survey agency of conducting an effort to narrate the 2024 presidential election for one round.
Hasto revealed the need for an independent committee to monitor the credibility of survey institutions in conducting research so that Indonesian democracy can be maintained.
"So it is proposed that later the formation of a kind of committee is independent of universities to audit survey results because this is related to the interests of the people, related to the quality of democracy," said Hasto, Tuesday, January 2.
