Nine Districts In Makassar Experience Water Supply Disorders From PDAM
A total of nine sub-districts in Makassar, South Sulawesi (Sulsel) experienced disruptions in the supply of clean water from the city's Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM).
"The Makassar PDAM water supply was hampered in nine sub-districts due to the decline in creditor performance at IPA (Installation of Water Processing) II Panaikang, due to garbage and mud," said Head of Public Relations of PDAM Makassar Idris Tahir as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 3.
Information on the disruption of water supply was also conveyed through the PDAM Makassar Instagram account.
The nine sub-districts affected by the disruption of clean water supply from PDAM Makassar are Tallo, Wajo,Bontoala, Ujung Tanah, Tamalanrea, Biringkanaya, Makassar, parts of Panakkukang District, and parts of Manggala District.
To re-optimize the creditor's performance, PDAM has scheduled to carry out depletion and cleaning work for Pulsator A in the first phase today from morning to finish.
Then the depletion and cleaning of Pulsator B, he said, the work was carried out on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.

Meanwhile, one of the Makassar PDAM customers, Nur Hayati, said that since the dry season, water has never been clean, because of the reason the water discharge is less than a Lekopancing water source.
"When it rains, repairs are made again. PDAM customers who have not received a clean water supply for three months should also receive monthly dues relief, such as during the PLN power outage, residents can compensate for electricity costs," he said.
