Moving Event Locations Again Due To Not Getting Campaign Permits, Anies: Part Of The Struggle

JAKARTA - Presidential candidate number 1, Anies Baswedan again faced obstacles during a visit to the regions during the 2024 election campaign period.

Initially, Anies was planned to attend Anies' Desak event at the Pagaruyung Baso Palace, Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra. However, it turned out that the local government did not allow the organizers to hold Anies' Desak at that location.

So, last night, the committee just received permission to hold an event at Cindua Mato Field and the activity had to be moved to that location.

Responding to this, Anies admitted that he often faced licensing problems when doing activities in a number of areas at this time.

"Yes, we often experience having to move locations, suddenly the permit is canceled. Then we have planned, suddenly it must be changed," said Anies after Desak Anies at Cindua Mato Field, Wednesday, December 3.

However, the former Governor of DKI Jakarta accepted this. According to Anies, the campaign constraints he experienced were still insignificant compared to the basic problems of the community who had difficulty meeting their daily needs.

"This is part of the struggle. As difficult as we are faced, it is still much more difficult for our household to finance their lives," said Anies.

"The heavier the struggle we have to go through is still more difficult for the family to be able to ensure their children go to school, ensure their needs are met. So, if this is part of the struggle, we will face it," he continued.

Previously, the National Team for Winning Anies-Muhaimin (AMINAn National Team) admitted that the permit for Anies Baswedan's presidential candidate activities during the campaign was often canceled by unscrupulous officers.

The head of the National Legal Team (THN) of the AMIN National Team, Ari Yusuf Amir, said that the cancellation of Anies' permit for activities took place in a number of cities in Indonesia.

"The 2024 presidential election is marked by the attitude of government officials or law enforcers who prohibit or revoke the permits of several activities that will be attended by Presidential Candidate Anies Baswedan. Neo New Order's attitude has even been carried out several times in several regions in Indonesia," said Ari at the AMIN Winning House, Central Jakarta, Thursday, December 28.

Ari explained six activities of Anies whose license was revoked. First, the grand gathering of Anies Baswedan and the Nasdem party at Taman Ratu Sultanah Safiatuddin Aceh.

Second, the revocation of the permit to use the Patriot Candrabhaga Bekasi Stadium for gymnastics events that will be attended by Anies. Third, the use of a place for Anies Baswedan's political safari in Pekanbaru, Riau.

Fourth, there was an attempt to revoke the permit for Anies Baswedan's activities in Ciamis and Tasikmalaya, but the event continued.

Fifth, the revocation of the permit to use the Indonesian building Sues in Bandung, just hours before the event is held. Sixth, the permit for the "Desak Anies" event in the open arena of the NTB Provincial Cultural Park was canceled and finally the event was moved to the Food Court Amanah.
