Therefore, the government is trying to ensure the availability of fertilizers to maintain farmer productivity.President Jokowi said BUMN PT Pupuk Indonesia will provide 1.7 million tons of fertilizer for preparation for the harvest period earlier this year. Farmers will also find it easier to obtain subsidized fertilizer because it is enough just to include an identity card (KTP)."Yesterday, I said that the purchase of fertilizer does not have to use a farmer card, you can use an ID card," he said.In terms of fiscal, said Jokowi, the central government will also increase the allocation of the fertilizer subsidy budget to IDR 14 trillion by 2024. The application for additional subsidized fertilizer needs approval from the DPR."I have asked the Minister of Agriculture, Minister of Finance to apply for an additional Rp14 trillion for fertilizer subsidies," he said.
