Muhaimin Promises Free Fuel For Fishermen
JAKARTA - Candidate for Vice President Muhaimin Iskandar, while campaigning in Penjaringan, North Jakarta, promised free fuel oil (BBM) for fishermen who fall into the poor category.
"This access is of course no longer using the fuel subsidy scheme, but the subsidies are through poverty data, so they will get access to fuel," said Muhaimin in the fishing village, Pluit, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 2.
The chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) said that assistance would be provided through data on the poor managed by the relevant ministries.
According to him, the problem of fuel needs is an obstacle that is always experienced by fishermen who will go to sea because they have difficulty reaching fuel prices.
In addition to promising free fuel, the man who is often called Cak Imin also promised to change the rules related to measurable fishing which is considered unable to improve the welfare of fishermen or coastal communities.
Cak Imin also highlighted the use of fishing gear that should not be used by fishery business actors who have a lot of capital.

He admitted that it was sad because the condition was left by law enforcement officers.
"So the large-scale fishing gear is left by the authorities, even though the activity is a violation, so we have to defend it," he said.
Therefore, said Muhaimin, the idea of change carried by Anies-Muhaimin (AMIN) will change the inequality.
