Japan Airlines Plane Caught Fire At Haneda Airport
JAKARTA - Japanese airline, Japan Airlines Co. (JAL), said one of its planes caught fire at Haneda airport, Tokyo, when the plane arrived from Sapporo.
Semua penumpang dan awak pesawat yang berjumlah 379 orang berhasil menyelamatkan diri dari pesawat yang terbakar tanpa mengalami luka yang mencampi, kata JAL.
As reported by ANTARA from Kyodo-OANA, Tuesday, January 2, there were 367 passengers on the plane, including eight children.
The fire is thought to have been caused by a collision between the JALitu plane and a Japanese Coast Guard plane based at the airport, the coast guard said.
The passenger plane allegedly collided with another plane on the runway or runway connecting facility (taxiway) after landing, according to JAL.
Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transportation and Tourism said it was investigating the incident, and stated Haneda airport had closed all runways.
