North Sumatra Bawaslu Traces Logistics Discovery In Warehouse Allegedly Illegal In Nias
The North Sumatra Provincial Election Supervisory Agency has begun to conduct searches regarding the discovery of the 2024 General Election logistics (Pemilu) found in certain warehouses that were accused of being illegal in Nias Regency, North Sumatra.
"It's true, according to published in several media, there is a buildup of logistics. Bawaslu is still in the current position, or later allegations of violations will be found or not," said North Sumatra Bawaslu Data, Information and Public Relations Coordinator, Saut Boangmanalu, in Medan quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 2.
Saut explained that the North Sumatra Bawaslu coordinated with the district/city Bawaslu and asked the KPU for clarification.
"Requesting a written report from the KPU regarding the existence of the logistics. We are still conducting an administrative investigation," said Saut Boangmanalu.
Regarding the circulation of logistical discovery information, he said, North Sumatra Bawaslu has not yet known the logistics content because only the KPU knows about logistics distribution.
"So far, we don't know what's in the ballot box, because we have not fully opened the logistics ranks. Only the KPU knows the logistics content," he said.
Saut revealed that after finding logistics in certain warehouses, his party and the KPU immediately evacuated with the police escort to the KPU warehouse in each district/city in the Nias Islands.
"Then conclusions were drawn, an evacuation was carried out from the temporary shelter to the warehouses of each KPU, which should have gone to the logistics place," he explained.

"All distribution of election logistics will be distributed to all regencies/cities in North Sumatra based on technical instructions or according to applicable regulations," said Robby.
