Jurgen Klopp Praises Salah: He's A Goal Machine
JAKARTA - Liverpool managed to get three points in the 20th week of the 20th week of the 2023/2024 Premier League to host Newcastle United at Anfield Stadium, Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Mohamed Salah became the star of the Red with two goals contributing.
Salah became Liverpool's opener and cover in 4-2.
This slick appearance immediately received praise from the manager of The Reds, Jurgen Klopp. Even so, the German manager was worried when his team wasted many opportunities.
In the first half, Liverpool vs Newcastle ended goalless. Mohamed Salah failed to score from the penalty spot, while Darwin Nunez squandered eight shots into the net.
After Salah's opening goal in the 49th minute, Klopp can be relieved. The players can maximize their chances even though they were equalized 1-1.
After that 1-1 draw, Liverpool were able to maintain the advantage. They took a 3-1 lead, before finally sealing the 4-2 win.
No wonder, Klopp specifically praised Salah. The Egyptian player did break the goal as well as seal the win.

"Mo (Mohamed Salah) is a goalscorer. To be honest, we'd be helped if he scored the first penalty, but everything (in fact) was fine and that's how it is. He's never going to stop doing these things."
"It's really very special. Darwin (Nunez) also has several opportunities. At this moment, I think 99.9 percent of players will try to solve the situation itself. He (Salah) managed to control the ball. It's really special, I have to say wow."
"It was a special game, a special night," Klopp said.
The victory is even more special considering Liverpool are now at the top of the 2023/2024 Premier League standings with 45 points. They are three points ahead of Aston Villa in second place.
Manchester City, which is on the third ladder, has not yet had the 20th week with 40 points. This means that they cannot shift Liverpool even if they win.
Not only that, the perch of Liverpool at the top of the standings made many parties favor Anfield's troops to win the 2023/2024 Premier League.
